This Audiowalk is a work of historical scholarship, a call to arms, and a motivational tool for continued efforts toward reproductive justice. It traces the struggles of reproductive justice onto the Boston landscape while simultaneously expanding definitions of reproductive justice. The audiowalk will include sites and discussions relating to lesbian fertility treatments, transgender health care, childcare cooperatives, domestic and institutional violence, and unwanted sterilizations as well as sites critical to abortion and contraception battles, The project showcases the political and geographic interconnectedness of seemingly disparate political, medical, and social struggles. In so doing, it illuminates the far-reaching implications of proposed legal and legislative changes.
